Cabin Carved

After watching workers create wooden signs for a campsite I was staying on, I bought a palm router and turned my storage shed into a tiny workshop cabin. You would’ve found me hunched over the bench in here, sawdust in my hair, a podcast playing, turning some piece of wood into something (I think so anyways) beautiful. Then, my workspace became portable again and you could find me working in the back of the LDV cabin van, routering on the step with mountains and forests behind me as we wandered around Scotland. Since then, I’ve had a bigger, practical workspace in Moray but have learnt that I’m terrible at putting down roots and it’s best for me to keep everything portable.

With my wooden signs, I’ve found myself naturally leaning into leafy designs, using rustic pieces of wood with lots of character and carving pieces of nature inspired decor into them. More recently, I’ve been inspired by traditional hand painted sing writing, and antique signs, finding ways to bring hints of those into my own work.

I’m usually always open for custom orders of house signs, numbers, or whatever else you have in mind so feel free to shoot me over an email.
