Cabin Woven

I’ve always wanted to be able to make things with my hands, and after quitting my job and moving into a van I realised I had enough time on my hands to be able to learn a new skill. I bought a tiny loom, and it all escalated from there. I started spinning my own yarn, and weaving everything from wool bookmarks up to hand spun, hand woven blankets. I’ve been lucky enough to be featured in several books and have written an article, ‘The Joy of Plain Weave’ for the Ashford magazine ‘The Wheel’. My pieces have been stocked in shops and businesses around the UK, which is something I’ll always be proud of. These days I’ve learned to keep my batches and stockists small, to prevent a craft that is a joy for me from becoming something that feels too much like a chore. My pieces are inspired by simplistic, but rustic designs prioritising natural colours and textures.
