BRUSH MAKING
I’ve always loved making things that are useful, as well as good to look at, so creating my own brushes is something that came about naturally. Living in tiny spaces means you are constantly cleaning, brushing floors, bench tops, around the fireplace, and I always have several brushes hanging from various hooks.
I keep my brushes as natural as possible, using arenga fibres, locally sourced (to wherever I am at the time) wood, and finishing them with a homemade walnut oil and beeswax balm.
This is a craft I’m very new to, but I’ve been itching to learn more and it’s something I think will become a staple in my shop, as well as in my day to day activities.
